Tap Tempo Tuner

Open the app and tap the TAP button repeatedly in time with any music or beat. After two taps the BPM will appear. Keep tapping for a more accurate average. Hit RESET to start over.

Switch to the TUNER tab and tap Start. Hold your instrument close to the phone and play a single sustained note. The needle gauge will show you how sharp or flat you are — aim to get the needle centred and the display to show "IN TUNE". You can also tap A 440 to hear a reference pitch.

Make sure microphone permission is granted — go to Settings → Tap Tempo Tuner → Microphone and enable it. Play closer to the phone, sustain the note as long as possible, and make sure you're in a quiet environment. The tuner works best with monophonic (single note) sounds.

Switch to the METRO tab. Drag the BPM number up to increase tempo or down to decrease it. Set your time signature using the two roto dials — drag each one up or down to change beats per bar and note value. Tap the play button to start. The first beat of every bar is accented.

On the METRO tab, tap the HAPTIC / SILENT button next to the play button. When enabled, your phone will vibrate in sync with the metronome beat — the accent beat has a stronger pulse than the others.

Any combination from 1/1 up to 16/16. Use the two roto dials on the metronome screen to set the numerator (beats per bar) and denominator (note value) independently. Common ones like 4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 7/8, and 12/8 all work.

Yes — all three features work entirely offline. No internet connection is required at any time.

Any instrument that produces a clear, sustained monophonic pitch — guitar, bass, violin, cello, viola, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, brass, woodwind, voice, and more. It will not work well with chords or percussion instruments.

This can happen on the very first launch if the app is loading resources. Give it a few seconds and it should appear. If the problem persists, try closing the app fully and reopening it.
